Experience and Background
Kris has been working full time in Maryland’s Public Behavioral Health System (PBHS) since 2007 and uses her experience in direct service in supported employment and psychiatric rehabilitation programs, managing team and programs at provider agencies, working for the state Behavioral Health Administration as a project director for SAMHSA grant funded expansions of Evidence Based and Empirically Supported services in diverse Maryland jurisdictions, and as a practicing therapist to inform training and technical assistance.
Kris’ experience with training and consultation in behavioral health interventions dates back to 2008 and has been shaped by mentorship including with Diane Grieder, a national consultant and co-author of the seminal text on Person-Centered Care Planning. She has trained as a trainer for Critical Time Intervention through the Center for the Advancement of Critical Time Intervention – CACTI. She is also an experienced trainer in vocational services informed by 10+ years working in the Individual Placement and Support Supported Employment Model.
